Warranty

What's covered, and for how long

Every install comes with 2 years on our workmanship, plus the manufacturer's product warranty passed through to you: 5 years on node rooflines. You make one call for either. Here's what's covered, what isn't, and how to make a claim.

Two warranties, one call

There are two warranties on every install, and you call me for both.

  • Our workmanship: 2 years from completion. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it (a mount, a seal, a connection, the programming), we fix it at no charge.
  • The product: the manufacturer's warranty, passed through to you. On node rooflines that's IronPeak's 5-year warranty on the LED strands, the controller and the power supply. On a continuous line and other products, it's the maker's warranty, written on your quote and your contract.

What isn't covered

These are in the contract, so here they are up front:

  • Hail, wind and storm damage
  • Lightning and power surges
  • Pests and animals
  • Damage from roof, gutter, painting or pressure-washing work by others
  • Changes made by anyone other than us
  • Wi-Fi, internet or third-party app outages
  • Normal wear

Storm damage is usually an insurance question, not a warranty one. If it happens, I'll document it and quote the repair so you have what your claim needs.

Getting a new roof?

Oklahoma hail means a lot of homes get a new roof eventually. If a roofer, gutter installer or painter needs the lights moved, we take them down and put them back at our standard rate. Call before the work starts and we'll schedule around the roofer.

How to make a claim

  1. Call or text 405-706-6042, or email [email protected].
  2. Send a photo or a short video of what's wrong, at night if you can.
  3. I'll set a time to come look and tell you whether it's covered before any work is done.

Care Plan

The Care Plan is $149 a year: an annual inspection, holiday scene programming and priority service. It isn't a warranty, and you don't need it to keep your warranty.

Questions

Warranty: questions

How long is the warranty on permanent lights?

2 years on our workmanship, plus the manufacturer's product warranty. On node rooflines that's IronPeak's 5-year warranty on the LED strands, controller and power supply.

Does the warranty cover hail damage?

No. Hail, wind and storm damage aren't defects, so they aren't covered. Storm damage is usually an insurance matter, and we'll document it and quote the repair for your claim.

What happens to my lights if I get a new roof?

We take them down and put them back at our standard rate. Call before the roofer starts.

Who do I call if a light stops working?

Me. Call or text 405-706-6042 with a photo, and I'll set a time to come look.
